I’m actually OK with the new Panda race in WOW. It’s very cool to have monks as well. I like the initial plans that were outlined at this years Blizzcon on how the Panda’s and Monk’s will be handled.
Once things are balanced, it should make for a pretty good expansion.

Yea, yea.. I’m 44 and play WOW.
I’ve actually played it since 2004. Other MMO’s have come and gone during this time and I’ve tried most of the them at some point or another.
But honestly, I keep coming back to WOW. Each new expansion brings with it something new in the form of content as well as typical class and balance changes. Just when you get comfortable playing and think you know everything about your classes a new expansion comes out and changes it all. You almost have to relearn your classes all over again.
While this can be annoying, especially when changes appear to be making things worse or harder for your classes, it does tend to keep the game fresh. At least for a while.
Lately, its been getting harder and harder to stay “interested” in playing. Our raiding guild is currently 6/7 in the Firelands content and once the last boss goes down the guild will pretty much shut down. At least as far as WOW is concerned. There is another MMO about to be released called The Old Republic.
Being a Star Wars fan myself, this looks to be a real shot in the arm that the MMO worlds have needed. Most of our guild will be trying it out to see if it truly will be a WOW Killer.
We’ll just have to wait another month or so and see how it turns out.
